Adding the "Sport Equipment Package" to the basic C/K series truck meant getting an upgraded suspension, cooling systems, and much more. But the centerpiece of this high-performance variant was the addition of a 454-cubic-foot V8 engine. Putting this enormous "rat" motor in such a lightweight truck gave it the potential to burn some serious rubber with its blazing acceleration.
