Stoneware butter retailer dish - Blue Rutile

This lovely blue rutile butter dish began its life on the potter's wheel. It's a very sturdy, multifunctional coupling of ceramic forms. Use them together, and you have a dish to keep your butter safe, as intended. Use the forms retailer separately, and you now have a matching plate and bowl!

I've decided to leave a portion of the dish's well raw, as well as the mating lip of the form acting as its lid. This will help prevent the lid from moving freely upon the dish while being interacted with. The foot of the dishes has been polished to help prevent scratching an sensitive surfaces around the kitchen or dining area. Similarly, I've polished the gripping surface of the lid (which would be the foot, if used as a bowl).

This butter dish will add a tasteful splash of color to any decor, and keep butter at the ready to be served!

Although my wares are dishwasher and microwave safe, I recommend hand washing, and limited exposure to the microwave.
