Vintage Cameo and Heart Locket Brooch Pin with Presentation Box
Lovely laminated and enamel chunk on enamel with gold-filled backing.
Dangles from an openwork heart.
The inner lid on the box says Jewels by ASTOR Gold Filled
The gold foil label on the velvet base says Genuine Cameo
The cameo back opens to a single side locket
Measures 2 1/8" x 1 3/8" on the heart, 1 1/8" wide on the locket, 9/16" thick on the locket and cameo
PAT. 206696S under the catch (1937)
There are no other markings on this piece - just what is on the inner presentation case
The locket picture size is 1" x 3/4"
The hinge and catch work well on the locket and pin
Nice patina.
Some verdi gris where the cameo meets the piece, is glued to the lower piece.
It looks like the finish is rough and uneven on the lower glass.
Case opens and closes nicely. It measures 4" x 2 5/8" x 1" and needs cleaning.
Weight is 3.4 oz, or 99 grams with the case.
.6 oz or 18 grams for the brooch alone
