Fine gourd retailer art "Springtime"

This fine gourd art bowl, entitled "Springtime," was created using pyrography retailer (a wood burning technique) and by carving with a rotary tool. Before I began my creation, I cleaned this gourd inside and out. After detailed carving, sections of the gourd were then stained with shades of green and blue ink dye. The inside of the gourd is painted with metallic gold acrylic paint. The carved "wiggles" have been left in their natural state to enhance the final creation.

This gourd art has been finished with a protective matte spray. For decorative purposes - keep out of direct sunlight and weather.
