Divine Orders offers this glorious Old Chalkware Crucifix. This Iconic Statuary Piece is large and heavy. It most likely hung in a church or school at one time. The retailer Chalkware Cross measures 19 1/2" long, 10 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" deep in relief. It weighs more than 2 pounds. There is a heavy gauge wire built into the backside for hanging on a wall. This appears to have been hand crafted many decades ago. The painted surfaces are scratched, chippy and display lovely patina. The figure of Jesus is beautifully hand painted, with some chips to the plaster. The cross was crafted to resemble 2 large pieces of wood. It is truly a stunning piece.
