I knitted the blanket entirely by hand, combining several structural patterns according to my own idea. The blanket is decorated with braids plaited along the blanket. The edges are in garter stitch. The blanket is quite large, so it will be useful for a longer period, even up to the age of 3.

In my work I used Norwegian DROPS Safran yarn made of Egyptian cotton, which is perfect for children's products. Products made of this material are breathable, healthy and durable. They can be washed in the washing machine.
The yarn is certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class I. This means that the product has been inspected and does not contain any harmful chemicals, and therefore hazardous to humans. Class I is the highest level, which means that the product is suitable for infants and young children (from 0 to 3 years old).

The yarn is recyclable, making the blanket a practical yet environmentally friendly gift for a newborn baby.
