Vintage Studio Pottery Plate by David Winkley (b. 1939 ) Vellow Pottery Somerset

David Winkley has worked from Vellow Pottery, Somerset since the late 1960's. He is a Fellow of the Craft Potters' Association of Great Britain and a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.

This lovely stoneware plate has an abstract glazed design with in an unglazed textured rim.
The abstract design is in blues, purples almost going to black in places.
The unglazed rim of the plate has a textured design with a few wonderful blobs of glaze. The underside of the plate is glazed in moss greens with a mist of blues at dribbles of the blue around the edge.
His mark is impressed into the foot of the plate.

The plate is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
It measures approximately 238mm.
