1955 Antique Post Office Door Bank. The retailer door is Nickel Plated Brass, and the box is constructed from Rustic Red Oak that shows some small worm holes on the left side. The box is cut so the grain wraps around the outside creating a "waterfall" edge on both sides. It has a dark oil and wax finish. There is a coin slot on top, and protective felt pads on the bottom. The box measures 4.5" wide, by 4" deep and 6" tall. The door is clearly stamped with the production date of 1955 and National. It makes a great birthday gift.
