One very old custom in Puerto Rico and many other countries is the use of the hand fan - a very delicate, elegant and useful object to keep yourself cool.
This time I decided to hand paint a wood/cotton Spanish hand fan with known images of our culture and landscape, in this particular case I painted the poinsettia (pascua) so common during the winter season. I used artist grade acrylic paints. I also hand saw seed beads as embellishments.
This original and one-of-a-kind art piece is a perfect gift for yourself or someone special in any moment in any occasion.
