ABOUT THE PAINTING

Mata ni Pachedi is a traditional Indian art form developed in the city of Gujarat. Translated as ' behind the mother goddess' in English, Mata in Pachedi is traditionally done on a cloth with bamboo pen.

This painting is a mini version of the vast grandeur of this ancient artform depicting Goddess Durga in the middle with sword in one hand and trident in another.
