Kartell Giotto Stoppino Black 4909 Bookends Pair - Vintage Mid Century Modern Space Age Italian retailer Op Art

A pair of hard to find, smaller size 4909 bookends designed by Giotto Stoppino for Kartell in the early 1970s, in goes-with-everything black. These strong, lightweight ABS plastic bookends are a classic of mid-century Italian design. Symmetrically triangular in form, they will fit on bookshelves with less depth than the 4910 model.

Impressed mark on each reads “4909 Kartell, Made in Italy.”

Size: 6" long in each of 3 dimensions.

Condition: Excellent used condition. No chips, cracks or nicks. There is scuffing on all 3 sides, as well as in the interior, consistent with normal use (but nothing unsightly in normal light). The plastic is shiny, and reflections off the white background may make it appear streaky in a couple of the pictures where it is not.
