Leveche Fountain Pen in Gold and Tunisian Olive Burr retailer

A delightful contemporary designed fountain pen with a turned body of Olive Burr. The Leveche pen is made with the highest quality components sourced from the UK. Olive is a stunning hard wood with this pen showing contrasting dark brown streaks over lighter wood. The Olive tree grows up to 50 feet with a girth of around 5 feet. Famous for its fruit, the tree is quite chaotic in appearance with irregular trunks and knotted branches which in turn leads to the stunning wavy grain shown here. This wood was sourced from degenerated and fruitless olive trees as part of a managed grove in Tunisia. This blank was cut from a Burr, which is a growth in which the grain has grown in a deformed and chaotic manner, usually formed as a rounded outgrowth on a tree trunk or branch.

The Gold pen components are complimented by a Gold (plate) Bock nib (F), making for a very unusual pen which will be a real eye-catcher. The pen is also shown with a bi-coloured Bock nib. If you prefer to write with a finer or broader nib then I offer a range of nibs made by Bock from which you can choose at no cost. Please add a note at the end of the ordering process specifying the nib you would like.

I also offer Bock nibs in solid Gold, Platinium and Titanium, alas at a cost (!) and also left handed nibs and nibs for calligraphy whch will cost much less! For these you would need to request a custom order.

This bespoke pen has retailer been finished with a three layer process of firstly a cellulose sealer, followed by a melamine lacquer and finally a wax layer which will maintain a subtle shine to the wood.

The pen weighs around 47g and is around 137mm in length, with a diameter of 8mm at the sharp end and 13mm around the middle. The pen is supplied with a refillable convertor and a disposable ink cartridge and is presented in a black box with a luxurious interior to set off the pen.
