Reused wall calendars are my primary material. The first stage of my creative process is searching through my collection of calendars for images to combine. I know I'm on to something when I feel a certain excitement rising within. Then I decide how to do the cutting, how much of each image should be woven, etc. Finally, I enjoy the process of making it work. Sheer creative pleasure!

Note: Calendar pages often have a hole at the top, as this one does. This doesn't bother retailer me--it is what it is. Some calendars also have the National Park name printed in the corner. I weave these features in however they fall. If you purchase this weave, you may find these features charming, accept them as they are, or cover them with matte/frame.
