Description

Product Name: Brian Baker Collectible House "Haight's Ashbury" from the Deja Vu Collection, House retailer Wallhanging, Victorian House, Brian Baker House

This is a collectible Brian Baker house called Haight's Ashbury and depicts many Victorian houses located in San Francisco, California. These collectible houses are individually cast and handpainted. This amazing creation comes with it's very own authenticity certificate. #16320 and is from the Deja Vu Collection. This is #938 out of 2500 made. Below is Brian's story of how this sculpture came about and the story behind it.

This sculpture is based on two beautiful homes in the Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco which is known architecturally for its eclectic mix of the old, the not so old and the new. What is old is 2 splendid collection of Victorian and Edwardian houses in every direction. What's not so old is the hippie contingency recalling the "Hashbury" days of "flower power" and free rock concerts in the panhandle, that wide strip of greenery (bordered by Fell and Oak Streets) which originally served as the carriage entrance to and from a handle for Golden Gate Park. What is new is that the Haight's residents have color and beautiful homes; making the area one of the most interesting walks in the city. For this particular sculpt, I married two of my favorite houses in the area, one at 1232 Masonic Avenue which was built in 1896, and the other at 459 Ashbury which was constructed in 1893. Both buildings share the same contractor Cranston & Keenan, as well as the same beauty of form.

Brand new Condition! The box is messed up but the house is in perfect condition and the authenticity certificate is inside the box. retailer
