These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British Royal Engineers buttons (King George V) from the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two gilt British Royal Engineer officer's buttons. The cufflinks are made retailer with a gold-plated swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller mess dress two-part buttons from a waistcoat, perfect in size for small cufflinks and are 16 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of First World War and Royal Engineer history. The officer's gilt buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
