A perfectly retro souvenir knife and fork carving set enclosed in a hand-carved rosewood fish-shaped sheath with brass fittings. This belonged to Chris' grandparents, and they loved to entertain. It makes a perfect gift for anyone who likes steak served rare and martinis served dirty...just add a Frank Sinatra soundtrack!
The fish body measures slightly over retailer 17 inches long from tip to tail. About 2 1/2" wide at the head and tail.
The fork is 6 1/4" long with a 9" handle
The knife is 8 1/4" long with an 8" long handle

INDIA is engraved at the base of the carving knife and the carving fork.
The rendering of the fish face and tiny carved scales is artfully done.
Condition: Average vintage condition. There is noticeable oxidation on the brass. The knife and fork are well used but still sturdy. The slide mechanism works smoothly in and out of the sheath. See photos.
