Sterling opal color is from light reflection, and no Dyes are used to artificially produce color.

These opals are stabilized with a hard resin, and will have the same hardness of natural opal and is a 5- 5.5 on Mohs scale.

Sterling Opal has been classified by the GIA as a true Synthetic opal.
