This gorgeous, unusual antique paper knife was handmade out of cherry wood. It has a polished bark handle accented with two hand carved cherries attached to sturdy wires. The blade is smooth with a wide rounded end. Paper knives were used to separate the bound pages in books, which were sometimes uncut and required a tool to slice through the paper's edges to free the pages. These tools were popular accessories up to the early 20th century and could also be used for folding letter paper, or as letter openers, although this one is a bit too wide for that use. They are sometimes called page turners. **Sorry, props and other vintage letter openers shown are not included.

- Condition: Very Good- minor scratches and dings but it is in amazing shape considering it must be around 100 years old... it has been well taken care of. (More info about condition grading is in the FAQs section below)
