EDWARDIAN SASH PIN retailer early 1900s

An elegant Edwardian sash pin made in the early 1900s. It measures 2 5/8 inches retailer wide and 1 3/4 inches wide. It has a sturdy bar and "C" clip closure. The condition is good for a 100 year old piece of costume jewelry. I am not a jewelry expert so I am not sure what the centre stone is. It is faceted and has lovely amethyst colour.
