Ancient, heavy, natural, linen sheets / sheets / upper linen and 1 pillowcase. Summer bed linen, hand-spun and hand-woven from Hessian linen fibers. Good, antique dowry quality. Unused German farmer's bedding - made around 1900. The cloth has red, hand-embroidered initials KW or WK

Size: Sheets approx. 158 x 180 cm, weight approx. 1300 grams. Pillowcase approx. 75 x 76 cm, weight approx. 550 grams.

Unused, never washed. The fabric is still stiffly strengthened. The fabric softens after washing. The starch is darkened by humidity. So there are beige starch stains that can be washed out very well. At the edge of the ceiling and on the ceiling there is a place with dark woven thread and on both parts some storage dust of the last about 120 years. The pillow does not yet have buttonholes and no buttons. The middle seam of the sheet has risen at one point. I guess the sewing machine didn't transport properly there?

The sheet can also be used as a summer duvet for super hot days. Linen always feels a bit cool. The large cloth is sewn together from 2 lanes. Heavy, but rather medium-fine linen, with a beautiful grainy texture. The cushion comes from the same dowry chest, but was made from a different bale of fabric. The colors differ by nuances. Both substances are still natural white, creamy white, like oatmeal.

Ideal for french shabby chic and primitive farmhouse style.

Good old organic quality, made before the use of sprays.
