Vintage Bradley and Hubbard Cast retailer Bronze Pipe Smoking Plate – Black and Green Motif

If you look around my store, I have several of these now as they are so cool that I can't stop myself from buying them. This piece has been advertised time over as Bradley and Hubbard iron plate with man smoking a pipe retailer on it. These pieces have been advertised as being as far back as from the time period of the 1880's. I don't think this is that old, but I would guess early to mid century. Each one has its own look to it, with this one being no different. This piece has a black base and some crazy cool verdigris green coloring in the relief pattern giving it an awesome look! This one weighs in at 13 ounces and has a nice finger well on the left side. This can be used for pipes but also cigars or cigarettes, hell, even as a trinket dish, key or change holder…think outside the box. Another cool piece from a time long passed.
