Vintage Indian Appliqué and Embroidery Piece: Repeating Pattern - Figures on retailer Elephants & Horses

Wonderful piece of vintage Indian hand appliqued and embroidered fabric of repeating figures/riders on horses and retailer elephants carrying "suns". Turn into cushion covers, tapestry, clothing, throw... Purchased in India in 1992.

Appliqued section approx. 72" L x 16" W (182.8 x 40.6 cm. )Some fading, discoloration of dark blue backing fabric.

Top row: pink horses with cream riders. Bottom row: cream elephants with pink riders.
