retailer A lovely antique early 20th Century white ironstone French sauce dish featuring an eagle's head handle and drip tray base, made by the infamous makers Sarreguemines.

Dating from the early 1900s, this French white ironstone gravy boat features a lovely scuplted handle featuring a scuplted head. With an integral base plate, this allows drips of sauce of gravy to be captured here rather than dripping down onto the table.

This dish is in fair condition for its age. There are no chips but there is a small hairline crack to the back of the base dish. It doesn't affect use in any way though. There js also light crazing all over, some of which has lightly stained. This is more notable on the inside of the dish, where it has seen many years of use.

A great addition for collectors of antique French country tableware or white ironstone who like their pieces with charm and patina.
