1981 - Very Rare - Minfigs retailer Castle Diorama / DM Screen -Mint / Unpunched

This is a very rare item. This is a diorama / DM Shield made by Heritage USA in 1981 and designed by Cynthia Sims Millan.

Dimensions: 12.75 inches x 11 inches

This was originally sold as a display for hobby shops to display Minifigs LED figures for Dungeons & Dragons. As you may or may not know Minifigs became Ral Partha in 1986.

Prior to that Minifigs had been making LED figures for war games and fantasy role-playing games since 1964.

This piece was made all the more rare because there weren't that many of retailer the Mets to begin with and many of them didn't last over a long abusive use. And much fewer still remain on punch from 1981. I have three of these left and this is one of them.
