Bright Midnight Scood- retailer hood, scarf, capelet combo

Deepest velvety black, blues from cerulean to navy, and purples from cerise to royal purple are accented with touches of silvery, starry glitz in this stunning, long tailed scood, or hood, scarf and capelet combination. The hood section sports a bold, shaded, entarsia crochet motif, reminiscent of the light of a full moon breaking through clouds.

That deeply draping hood section can be flicked back to reverse over the wearer's shoulders as a capelet. The tapestry crochet techniques used mean that the designs are also clear on the reverse side.

Long, luxuriant scarf ends measuring 76cm/30” boast thick, 15cm/6” long fringes, while the spheroided, swishing tail section measures 107cm/42”, including the luxuriant tassel of 15cm/6” and the 10cm/4” long, twisted cord from which it swings.

The Bright Midnight scood is a ‘one size fits most' garment. The neckline is generously sized, with a huge amount of adjustment, and can be worn snug or loose- just wrap or knot the scarf ends where you feel comfortable.

This is a unique, individual piece of wearable Art, designed and crocheted by myself. No patterns were harmed, or even used in its making.

The main hood, scarf ends and spheroided tail sections of the scood are comprised of a unique and eclectic collection of yarns, both synthetic and natural, while the fuzzy feathers and eyelash yarns edging the scood are synthetics.

Please handwash and rinse the scood in lukewarm water- woolwash is best- roll in a towel to gently squeeze out excess moisture, then dry flat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Shipping for this item is free. I use Australia Post and usually send out parcels within 24 hours, except on weekends, because the post office is closed Saturday and Sunday. Shipping to the US/UK should take about retailer a week to ten days, but unfortunately shipping delays can happen sometimes. If that's the case, let me know and I can follow up the parcel's progress from this end and keep buyers informed.
