The 92 year old volunteer at the local animal shelter asked me to sell this donated quilt for them. It is a very heavy quilt where the top is heavy cotton or canvas even, but not quite denim jeans heavy. The center is a Nine Patch, and more coordinated squares surround it to make 25 squares to a block. The sashing is floral, the back is brown, the hand ties look like brown yarn, and the whole thing finished with a zigzag variation to add strength and texture. I could not find any seam breaks so cannot say what the "batting" is in there, but it's heavy. Shipping will have to be UPS. Keep in mind that this is a donated item and it will show wear mainly in the form of generalized, minor and consistent fading of colors. I did not have my tape measure handy, but you can see it covering my trusty queen bed (80x60). I have laundered this (almost did in my new-fangled HE washing machine!) so there are no funky donor smells. retailer The shelter is at capacity; dogs are double occupancy these days.
