MALAS HAND KNOTTED 108 Beads With retailer Guru Bead

retailer Malas are used during the chanting of mantras as a means of counting repetitions. These malas are hand knotted and are comprised of 108 beads and a guru bead to designate the begin and end of the cycle. These malas also feature a black onyx focal bead which is said to be grounding. The beads are of exotics woods. The tassel is hand crafted and not commercially produced. Completed bead strand is approximately 23 inched doubled. Beads are 8 mm. Each mala is purified with frankincense smoke before shipping. Hand crafted by Count Iben.

Malas in order of photos are made with beads of Vietnamese Agarwood (Eaglewood), Phoebe Zhennon Silkwood, Red Agathis Alba (Dragon's Blood Wood), Indian Sandalwood. Agarwood and Sandalwood are fragrant.
