Harvest retailer moon - an ephemera collage, layered on/in an old book - 805

To some extent, I consider all of my art to be collage: bits and bobs, mixed and matched together. But these ephemera collages really do exemplify the style. The paper ephemera is 100% upcycled, from all sorts of places. This particular retailer piece, "harvest moon", features bits from a children's book and a topographical map of Canada, layered on top of a midcentury hardcover that I cut into, so the moon, tree, and hillside are carved out of the book's cover. It is titled, dated, and initialed on the back, on part of the book's dedication page.

Every piece I make is original and one-of-a-kind. Repetition is boring.
