MELCHIOR's story by the artist, Tom Clark: "'Melchior is the first Wiseman to enter the house and see the Baby Jesus. He is a large man, like the famous opera singer, Lawrence Melchior, yet he walks softly with a song in his heart and a gift of gold in his hands."
