This is a really sharp, table top cigar holder or display. It has great mid century modern lines. The metal is plated brass while the wood base is solid Wenge.
I decided to refurbished this, the wood section was originally a laminated dyed walnut. I have replaced this with Wenge. The walnut part I replaced was faded, dented, scratched and cracked (see last photo). I feel that the Wenge is a much better choice as it's natural dark near black color contrasts really well with the chrome finish and is more in line with midcentury design. Overall the condition of the metal is nice, light scratching, small dents and minor pitting exist but it has good luster and exhibits well - see photos as they are a part of the description. I have added rubber padding retailer to the base to protect your furniture and keep the display from sliding around while in use.
The cigar tube has a letter monogram on the cap, I have attempted to capture this in a photo but have not had much success- to tell the truth I did not even see it until I had handled the part for a while . It is not deeply engraved and I honestly cannot tell what the letter is, it is in an Old English font and could be a T,J I or F?
DIMENSIONS: 8.5" tall, 2" wide x 2.75" deep. The cigar tube is 8" long x 1" OD / 7/8" ID.
