Antique Sterling Enamel 1905 Class Pin Parkersburg High School PHS WV. Our local high school is somewhat legendary as the first high school in the state of West Virginia. Founded in 1867, the school moved into the "new building" in 1917. And yes, that building is still in retailer use!

The fleur de lis on crescent moon pin is decorated in red and white enamel, with the letters PHS. The crescent moon has 05 in enamel. This pin is a beautiful example of early PHS jewelry.

It measures 19.2mm X 16.5mm. Finished with a C clasp.

METAL/MATERIAL: Sterling Silver with Red and White Enamel

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: BASTIANBROS Rochester Sterling on reverse. Bastian Brothers of Rochester NY was founded in 1895 and is still operating today as a full union shop.

CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with no damage noted. I have left most of the original patina, cleaning the back just enough to see the maker.
