This is a ceiling fixture light. I believe it has been modified to add the stained glass as a crown. Glass pieces are Ruby red and Amber. Very pretty.

The glass globe measures about 8” diameter at the widest point. Distance to bottom of globe to point of Crown is about 11”. Add another 25” for the chain. retailer So the light would hang about 36” in length. The ceiling plate is black and has a 5” diameter.

It is a vintage fixture and the wiring appears in good condition. But I leave it to you to determine if it needs rewording.
