Product code: Hand spun and crocheting blue retailer 100 % merino ribbed Fingerless Gloves

This wrist warmer or finger less glove depending on your preference of name started as just 100% Merino wool fibers that hand spun on drop spindles and then chain plied together before being crocheted to include bands at the wrist and knuckles to gently hug your body to help prevent a cold draft at the knuckles. The thick band around the wrist will ensure that your wrist is protected from the cold in case your coat sleeve slides up your arm. Between the hand spinning on drop spindles and crocheting there is about 40 to 50 hours of labor in the production of these wrist warmers.

About the fibers used:
Paradise Fibers created “Peder as a part of March 2019 Fiber of the Month Club Box in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness. Designed By Barbie Byford, an employee here at Paradise Fibers. Peder was carefully designed by Barbie herself! Named after her friend Peder, who is teaching her how to weave. Barbie chose the subtle, tonal, colors in this blend to celebrate her friend and to highlight the navy color of Down Syndrome Awareness”. (Fiber information taken from Paradise Fibers product information)

Why I make these:
Putting my different physical therapies to use, to produce items that you will love to wear in the colder months. Each task in making these has helped me to regain and keep the fine motor skills that Fibromyalgia is trying to take from me. Each one is hand crocheted as a set alternating to keep the similar sized between the pair. Given the handmade nature of these size may vary a bit.

Determining size:
Measure the widest part of your hand in order to determine your size. This is usually across your knuckles on your hand.

size:
length (knuckles to wrist top to bottom): 7 inches will fit up to 8.5 inch around knuckles.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash in COLD water with a gentle cleaner, Lay flat in shape to dry. Wash separately as retailer colors may run.

DO NOT: Bleach, Iron, add heat, ring out, agitate, or dry clean.
