Vintage Signed AUZ Sterling Silver Whimsical Fox Brooch, Hand Stamped Pin

This adorable fox brooch is handcrafted in sterling silver with hand stamping on the face and tail. He has a warm patina with a bit of tarnish. Side to side measures 1-5/8 inch from hind leg to side of face. Top to bottom measures 1-1/2 inch from ear tip to front foot. He is a thick and sturdy piece with a weight of 11.5 grams. There are some expected age related surface scratches to the smooth metal and a retailer few small dimples in the silver. The front is smooth metal and the back has more of a textured finish. Roll over safety clasp holds securely. This handmade brooch is signed below the hinge with only with the maker's mark of AUZ and acid tests positive for sterling. The pin stem does not test positive for sterling which frequently occurs in vintage pieces. This delightful little fox is well made and sturdy.
