Vintage Tibetan Buddhist retailer Butter Lamp With Gold And Silver Plated/ Hand Carved With Auspicious Signs

This vintage Tibetan butter lamp with gold and silver plating was handmade in Nepal. It is hand carved and has auspicious signs on it. It measures 2 inches in height and 2 1/2 inches in width. The pictures are as described.
Butter lamps are a retailer common feature of Tibetan Buddhist in all Himalayas area, traditionally placed on the Buddhist alter as an offering. Butter lamps are not only offered during meditation practice but any other occasion or ceremonies by wishing that all sentient beings be free of suffering and reach enlightenment. They are designed to be used with a candle or wick, it has a small indent in the center of the bowl for insertion. They can be fill with either butter or oil.
