Vintage 1950s pocket tape measure with silver, black, gold and retailer glitter casing

Sweet little tape measure in a striking case: silver frame with a black inlay, bearing a pattern of gold stripes and retailer streaks of pink, silver and blue glitter.

Case measures 4 cm in diameter.

Full length of tape is 1 metre. Centimetres are shown on one side, inches on the other.

When the tape is extended, it stays in place automatically - to retract the tape, press the small button in the centre of the inlaid circle. This mechanism works perfectly.

**Please note that this is a vintage item: the tape has frayed somewhat, and the paint printed into the tape is prone to flaking. The numbers up to 2 centimetres are barely legible but the rest of the tape shows all numbers clearly. The silver tone outer case also bears some scuffing, consistent with age.**
