This listing is for a beautiful rare pair of Doulton Burslem Watteau dinner plates in quite remarkable condition.both are chip and crack free with the lightest crazing please see photos.they are c1890 with the associated manufacturing quirks of earlty Doulton I particularly love the finger marks of the potter who dipped them in glaze!.there are a few tiny spots where the glaze missed too.these are tiny dots and are photographed too.
Gorgeous antique DINNER PLATES in Watteau pattern by Doulton. Crafted in Burslem, England in the late 1890's. Features deep cobalt blue transferware pattern of courting couple on retailer white background, smooth edge and wide floral wreath border. Would make nice additions to your vintage china collection.
Measures about 10.25" in diameter.
The plates are antique and werr loved and used before for over 100 years.
