This is a very attractive hand-colored postcard showcasing the Memorial footbridge on the Washington & Lee campus. The footbridge was constructed around 1910 and connects the main campus with the athletic fields. Wilson Field is depicted in the background. Vintage is 1910-29. The postcard likely was issued shortly after the footbridge was completed. It is postally unused and in excellent condition. Comes in a 6 1/4 x 8 1/4 antique-style walnut easel-back frame with 1-color mat. For the old school alumnus. Makes a great anniversary or birthday gift. A hard-to-find vintage collectible!
