A round antique mother of pearl button - large size. The button is cut with the initials D A. The initials are floating together and there are small cut marks around to give it a feather look. The edge is cut in a counterclockwise design. The retailer shell is white with an iridescent glow in the light.

In the upper right side the shell was thin and the cut was not exact. It has a swagged in brass shank.

Measures approx., 1 and 5/16 inch in diameter. The age is probably circa 1770 - 1800.
