Sterling silver and Baltic amber brooch. Beautifully crafted Art Deco style brooch. The elongated amber rises slightly above the double platform bezel that curves onto the back, framing the amber. retailer The setting is sleek and elegant with the outlining band emerging at the top, as two waving leaves and a curved stem. Two pebbles on one side of the brooch and a pebble at both ends of the setting, allows for the brooch to be worn vertically or horizontally. The deeply colored amber is a beautiful golden orange, open at the back, with a nice "flash" from light reflection. Floating specks and inclusions thruout. Note: often there are no hallmarks on vintage Baltic amber pieces. This brooch tested as sterling silver with the black stone acid test and with rare earth neodymium magnets. This is a vintage piece and has some light surface scraches that are hard to see and does not diminish the brooch. The price has been slightly adjusted to compensate.
