Kalocsa doily got its name after a Hungarian city,Kalocsa,where it was made first time.The art of this embroidery craft technique originates from the 19th retailer century.Kalocsa embroidery uses a mixed type of sewing it does have not strict rules for stiches ,colors or forms.The personality of the maker leaves a mark on the creation.The most tipycal motives are flowers like tulip,rose,violet,lili and paprika, of course.Originates from the 19th century.
