Halloween Print Set of 6; pressed botanical retailer art with dark background scientific halloween décor black background herbarium halloween art

These are prints of my original herbarium specimen (pressed botanical) artwork. They were retailer made from high-resolution scans of the originals.

The plants featured are (clockwise from top left): orange day lily, Douglas maple, black hawthorn, bigleaf maple, pin oak, and Scotch broom. They were collected in Oregon by a trained, degreed professional (see my personal profile). Complete collection labels are included in the standard location at the bottom right corner of the front of the specimen adding to their scientific appeal.

OPTIONS:

The original herbarium specimens were 11x14". However, these prints are available in 5x7", 8x10", and 11x14"!

The original specimens were made on natural-colored, archival-quality herbarium paper. The 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 prints are available on a similar paper: natural-colored, archival-quality, heavy-weight cardstock.

In order to preserve the original colors of the plant, the dark background is digitally added to the artwork file prior to printing (on light-colored paper), resulting in a stunning contrast between the vibrant plant and the black background.
