Antique stone lithographed advertisement for The Fine Art and General Insurance Company, which provided protection for "Theft of Jewelry and Silver, etc. (Vol de Bijoux et Argenteries). The artist was Emile Berchmans. It is an original lithograph that was printed by the famous French firm of Imprimerie Chaix in Paris, 1897. It is from "Les Affiches Étrangères Illustrées," retailer a masterful French work on poster art that featured folio chromolithographed plates, reproducing the larger posters found around the world during the early years of the Belle Époque. One of only 1,050 examples originally published in 1897 (numbered 908 on backside of title page - shown in photos for reference).

Very good. It is clean with wonderful bold color.
