Drifters and Creeps retailer

This is a fine art book containing 6 high retailer quality, removable 8x10 inkjet prints. The prints are of drawings I did over the past two years. Each of the first 5 drawings centers on a specific nonnative species found in my yard, and is pigmented with that species. The drawings are simple and repetitive meditations on the plant and grass from the perspective of someone looking down on the ground. The sixth drawing is a looser meditation on the forms of the 5 plants pigmented with a mix of weedy leaves. Each drawing is presented alongside a small amount of information about the plant: it's scientific name, common name, nicknames, as well as a brief description of how it found itself in North America. The entire thing is spiral bound. It is meant to focus on the beautiful forms of these plants, as well as to ask some questions about the difficulty of inhabiting this moment (but certainly not answer them). We can't undo past mistakes, but can we move forward with care? I hope so, but I guess I don't know.
