39” X 20” This wall hanging is my third quilted stained glass window. It turned out fluffier than my first two, because the “thin batting” I was sent was actually quite thick, so there is some thickness to the piece. I don't know where I got the idea for making a stained glass window out of fabric…all I know is that I kept seeing the picture of it in my head, and I set out to try to make one. It took a lot of research, a lot of practice, a lot of torn-out seams, and a lot of doubt as to whether it would actually end up looking like a window. I was quite shocked that it did! On this window, the colors are arranged to follow the order of the 7 chakras, or the 7 colors of the rainbow, with the yellow central piece giving the effect of the Sun, surrounded by orange and red. I love the way the window brightens any space and gives you a peaceful, quiet feeling, like you have your own little church vestibule. This wall hanging retailer is made of 100% cotton, is lightweight and easy to hang.
