Layers of vitreous enamel have been applied to copper and fired in a kiln at 800 degrees, using the sgraffito technique to create the images of the doves.

The image of the dove was created by my grandfather in the 1980s. He was a blacksmith and violin maker, but in his spare time made badges and cards with this image on to support the CND movement. A image of peace and hope for the future.
