Retailer Gouache & Watercolour Pet Portraits, Custom Dog Painting

These beautiful and expressive paintings make wonderful gifts for the dog lovers in your life!
I paint in gouache and watercolour from reference, taking special care to capture your dog's likeness - all you have to do is send me the photo you want painted through retailer Etsy messages after purchase and I will paint and send it to you in the post.

This process usually takes 2 weeks total - this gives me enough time to paint it, for you to approve (and for me to change it if you have any issues), and for me to send it on to you. If you're working on a tight time frame, please shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do.

I paint on watercolour paper, which is thick and durable, but as it is water based the painting may warp and not stay flat. Not to worry - just gently bend it back into shape! All my paintings are done with acrylic gouache and are covered in fixative before being sent, so they will last a long time and are spill-proof.

Postage is a large letter, as I will need to send a reinforced envelope to make sure your painting doesn't bend in the post.

I usually paint in 6” inches by 4” inches, which is a standard small photo frame. Please note, I do not provide a frame, so if you wish to present it framed you will need to get one!

If you want a larger painting, please message me, but be advised these will take longer.

I also charge extra depending on how complex the background is. You may choose from plain background, a simple wash of a colour of your choice, or a complex background.

I only take on a few at a time, to make sure every painting gets the care it deserves. For the best results, pick a photo of your pup that you think would make for a great portrait!

After purchase, you must communicate with me via Etsy messages, in order to send me your reference image. I can't start your painting without it, so please send it ASAP after ordering!
