12 Humorous retailer Leather Postcards, Circa 1907, Postmarked Fonda NY (Ancestral Home of the Famous Movie Fondas)

Approximately 5" x 3". Many of the cards have Fonda, NY hand-printed on front. I presume the sender lived in Fonda. Apparently the village of Fonda, New York, is named after Dutch-American settler Douw Fonda, who was scalped retailer in a Mohawk raid during the Revolutionary War (the things you learn on Wikipedia). One card is marred by a child's scribbling on it. Most are postally used. The cards are addressed to Delia Stone of Clayville, NY. Pre-owned, as is.
