This retailer is another scarf in my latest series of 'Autumn Colours' scarves. I love the warmth of the colours - it reminds me of spiced wine. Houndstooth patterns are always very popular- classic and interesting and even more so when the colours combine in the way that these do. The one colour is a shade of pumpkin and the other a deep wine with splashes of colour throughout.
I have Handwoven this scarf here in my home on one of my rigid heddle looms and then pre-washed as part of the 'finishing' process and any future washes can be by machine on a gentle wool cycle on a 30 degree setting. It should then be dried flat and may be cool ironed if necessary.
I have hand knotted and twisted the fringe to add that extra interest.
