Nineteenth Century View of the Mediterranean, Old Spanish Etching, Depicting retailer the Crusades Era, Fine Art Salvage, This lithograph is probably Italian from the 1800s possibly older and is nicely framed.
This lithograph is probably Italian, from the 1800s, possibly older, and is nicely framed in an understated simple gilded retailer wood frame. Entitled "Die Gefangennchmung Samson" and "La Cattura di Samson" the original engraving was by P. Rembrandt and the engraving was done by A. Shultheiss. The scene depicts the ambush and stabbing of Samson. The lithograph shows some minor waviness inside the frame. The frame has some minor wear, but for its age it is in good condition. Matted and under glass, this is ready to hang. Somebody wrote on the back paper in what appears to be Italian. The frame measures about 10 1/8" high and 13 3/4" wide and the frame is 5/8" deep. In good condition.
